Absolutely, Tracey, it was worth taking the leap!
I've had mixed experience with Business Link, but have certainly found others in the industry to be helpful (thinking particularly of a trade fair I exhibited at in the very early days, where I met some lovely, encouraging people).
In return I try and help others who are starting out, too- although sometimes I don't feel I know much, Chiggs has been going over 4 years now, so I must have learned something useful along the way!

I had been wondering actually. Interesting to know. But, chiggs? Is it a derivative of your name? I call my daughter Noonie. I wonder if she'll still like it enough at 25 to call her company that?

And look where Chiggs is now! It was WELL worth taking that leap of faith.

But I do understand how 'in the dark' and overwhelming starting a business can be.

if I had to start MediaMinister.co.uk again, I would definitely seek the help of a business consultant/coach as well a my local Business Link. Also, I think it would be really worthwhile speaking to successful business owners/entrepreneurs in my industry to see if they can offer any insight. It still surprises me how helpful people can be.
