I've had mixed experience with Business Link, but have certainly found others in the industry to be helpful (thinking particularly of a trade fair I exhibited at in the very early days, where I met some lovely, encouraging people). In return I try and help others who are starting out, too- although sometimes I don't feel I know much, Chiggs has been going over 4 years now, so I must have learned something useful along the way! Absolutely, Tracey, it was worth taking the leap!
I’ve had mixed experience with Business Link, but have certainly found others in the industry to be helpful (thinking particularly of a trade fair I exhibited at in the very early days, where I met some lovely, encouraging people).
In return I try and help others who are starting out, too- although sometimes I don’t feel I know much, Chiggs has been going over 4 years now, so I must have learned something useful along the way!

It was WELL worth taking that leap of faith. But I do understand how 'in the dark' and overwhelming starting a business can be. if I had to start MediaMinister.co.uk again, I would definitely seek the help of a business consultant/coach as well a my local Business Link. Also, I think it would be really worthwhile speaking to successful business owners/entrepreneurs in my industry to see if they can offer any insight. It still surprises me how helpful people can be.
