My inspiration for the Baby Feed Wheel came when visiting a friend, following the birth of her little boy and she was struggling to remember the time of his last feed. It brought back memories of my own "hazy days" following the birth of my daughter!
After two months of design and research the Baby Feed Wheel was born. I registered my design with the Patent Office, then launched the website www.chiggs.co.uk (the company gets its name from my childhood nickname!)
Whether during the sleep interrupted night time, or the sleep deprived daytime when there are so many other things to think about, the Baby Feed Wheel provides a clear reminder of the time of Baby's last feed.
The Baby Medicine Wheel followed soon after. Whilst on holiday with friends and their little boy, he was teething and needed medicine. Our friends used a Baby Feed Wheel to record the time of each dose so that they knew when the next dose would be due. Shortly after the holiday I contacted the Patent Office with my second product!
I was amazed to find that there wasn't anything available to help parents keep track of medicine times when caring for a poorly infant - so many people have said to me that they write notes on scraps of paper which they promptly lose!
With the introduction of the Get Well Wheel, children and adults of all ages can monitor their medicine times whether recovering from illness, or taking regular medication.
From these beginnings, Chiggs' Wheels are now sold worldwide by over 100 stockists including gift shops, baby shops, card shops, garden centres, childrenswear shops, gift basket suppliers, party planners, real nappy advisors, and online retailers!
Our products are printed in the UK and hand finished in Harrogate.
